ABTL was incorporated in May 2005 following the Federal Government of Nigeria's initiative of concessioning Nigerian ports to private sector operators

The company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, entered into a long-term concession agreement with Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) regarding Apapa Terminals A and B in Lagos.

Immediately after ABTL took over the operations of Apapa Terminals A and B in April 2006 an aggressive investment and business plan was put in motion, aiming to providing a world-class port and other value-added services.

ABTL has committed itself into making Terminals A and B a showcase  of efficient, competitive,  customer-oriented and environmentally friendly operations.

• Dry bulk cargo
• General cargo
• Liquid cargo
• Containers
